
Starbucks Hot Java Cool Jazz
Typical teens. Or not really. Part of Starbucks Hometown campaign, Hot Java Cool Jazz invites 5 of Seattle's best high school jazz bands to play at the paramount and all the proceeds go toward the schools programs.
To celebrate HJCJ's 16th concert, we decided to truly celebrate the kids. We caricatured each and every student in all 5 bands (nearly 400) and made wildpostings and posters in their schools' colors. And then we plastered those suckers all over Seattle and the event itself. The result? This was the first year in the history of the event that the show sold out before the show date. Three days before the show, in fact. And it raised over $20,000 for the schools.
