
Microsoft Sky Surprise
Part of the launch of Vista, Windows partnered with T-Mobile, offering three months of free access to T-Mobile Hotspots with purchase of the OS (which at the time was kind of a big deal).
To announce this intergalactic partnership, we turned to and intergalactic band. Jefferson Starship. We created a free, lunch-time four-city concert tour where Starship appeared on our custom, transforming stage-truck.
The tour garnered impressions with the help of local tabloid ads, cosmonaut street teams, wild postings, talking standees, a 40' inflatable cosmonaut and a full website with games, videos, downloads, and the international dance sensation, "The Cosmonaughty."
The campaign lasted four months, reaching over eight million people.
